The I-5 Rollergirls Junior Roller Derby Program is hosting a skater camp October 27th & 28th, 9am to 4pm, prepairing skaters for tryouts November 10th 11am to 1pm. The camp is run by Getsome Athletics , Lacey Evans (Carmen Getsome) has developed a roller derby specific training program tailored for all skill levels.

Attending camp is a great way to improve your skills and endurance prior to the season. We do not require you to try out for the I-5 Rollergirls, perhaps you just want to sharpen your derby skills. All skaters all welcome!

If you intend to try out for the I-5 Rollergirls 2013 season camp is mandatory, the camp is all part of the tryout process. The final day of camp will be November 10th at Southgate Roller Rink.

Our staff's goal is to provide each camper with a fun and exciting three days of training. We will teach all campers the fundamentals and skills that are needed to play Roller Derby. Most importantly, we will teach a winning attitude that will enable each camper to become the best individual and team player they can be.

The Getsome Athletics camp is coached by Lacey Evans (Carmen Getsome) , Trixxxie's Trash N' Em, & Coach Vito Ramon, Shorty Ounce, & Nehi Nightmare along with a qualified staff of assistant coaches.

There is no primary meal provided so come prepared with a sack lunch and or any kind of special food that you require.

Camp Dates: Oct. 27 & 28 9am 4pm @ Evergreen Events Center

Tryouts: Saturday Nov.10 11am 1pm, @ Southgate Roller Rink

Skater Requirements:

• All participants must be girls age 9-18

• A Liability Waiver must be signed

Equipment / Gear Requirements:
• Quad Skates
• Proper Fitting Helmet
• Knee pads
• Elbow Pads
• Wrist Guards
• Protective Mouth Guard
• Water bottle
• Trainers (running shoes) for off skates training

We will not be able to provide rental skates or gear. You must have your own gear. Some good resources are Fast Girl Skates in Wallingford or the Everett Skate Deck Pro Shop.
